Google. At Google, I lead UX strategy and cross-functional teams to enhance the Play Store experience across global markets. Driving measurable improvements in device performance, user onboarding, and app trust through data-informed design and innovation.

GMS Core

Transforming foundational user experiences at scale means tackling complex systems with precision and purpose. At Google, I lead cross-functional UX teams across the Distribution and GMS Core product areas, delivering strategies that support seamless functionality across billions of devices. Through the launch of key GMS Core services, we directly improved performance metrics—reducing CPU load, minimizing app crashes, and extending battery life. By aligning with Android, Play Ads, and Play Marketing teams, we’ve ensured consistency and reliability across the Play ecosystem. These efforts are grounded in rigorous user research and driven by a commitment to technical excellence, creating outcomes that users feel immediately and that developers can trust.

App Quality

My focus on app quality was guided by a comprehensive mental model that reflected how users perceived and evaluated the apps they download. This model centered on key pillars: performance and reliability, where stability, speed, and efficiency shape initial impressions; UI/UX design, which includes intuitive navigation, visual appeal, and accessibility; and functionality, ensuring that core features delivered on the app's promise while regular updates added meaningful value. Privacy and security, including transparent data practices and permission clarity, were crucial for building trust. Equally important were support and community engagement, giving timely responses and meaningful interaction signaled that developers cared.

Mobile Device Onboarding

The onboarding experience sets the tone for every user’s journey, and transforming that experience at Google meant rethinking the process from the ground up. I led the UX vision for revamping mobile device onboarding, streamlining the flow and significantly reducing the time users spend setting up devices—especially in retail environments. By integrating user research, performance data, and industry best practices, we delivered a more intuitive and efficient experience that improves customer satisfaction and reduces friction at a critical touchpoint. The result is a faster, more cohesive start for users entering the Android ecosystem.
